Sometimes known as lamb's lettuce, cornsalad is an edible plant that has been eaten in Britain for centuries.

Cornsalad is particularly common on the margins of fields, but is very common on the island and may be found growing almost anywhere.

The Manx name for this plant is "Glassan yn eayn", which means "Lamb's salad plant".
