Native to the west coast of North America, this plant is a relative stranger to the Isle of Man. It can be found at Port Soderick and near the Clypse & Kherrowdhoo reservoirs, but so far has not spread widely.

Salmonberry is a relative of the blackberry and raspberry and produces an edible fruit.
