Lus ny meeylllyn veg

April - July

Locations where this species is found:
Eary Cushlin Ballaugh Curraghs Close Sartfield Clypse and Kerrowdhoo

This plant is relatively uncommon on the island as it needs a very specific habitat. It can be found around Eary Cushlin, but is easy to miss as it grows very close to the ground.

Lousewort gets its name from the belief that it would cause lice if eaten by livestock. It might actually be an appropriate name as lousewort survives by taking nutrients from the roots of other plants.
