This common hedgerow flower can be found all over the island. The island is also home to other varieties of Speedwell, which are almost identical in appearance. Germander Speedwell is taller than other Speedwell varieties.

Speedwell was once used as a substitute for tea.

The Manx name for this flower is "Lus-chray chadjin".
